On Nov. 7, 2019, the Symposium on Advanced Measurement Techniques for Better Life and Enviornment was successfully held in Nanjing University. The symposium was organized the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University and the State Key laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Sciences. Prof. Hong-Yuan Chen was honorable chairmen, and Prof. Zhen Liu was chairmen. Fifteen well-known professors from five countries, such as Prof. Janusz Pawliszyn at University of Waterloo (the founder of SPME) and Prof. Koji Otsuka at Kyoto University (one of the founders of MEKC), delivered plenary or keynote lectures. The audience included experts and graduate students from Jiangsu, Shanghai, Anhui, Hebei and Shanxi.
