Invited by Professor Leyong Wang and Associate Professor Juli Qiang,Prof. Michael D. Ward（Department of Chemistry, University of Sheffield, Sheffield S3 7HF, UK）visited Nanjing on Apr. 26th and gave an academic report on the same day. At 14:00 on Apr. 26th (Wednesday) Prof. Michael D. Ward gave a special report for graduate students entitled Self-assembed coordination cages: host-guest chemistry and functional behaviour in the meeting room H201 of Xianlin Chemistry Building. He reported his research on supramolecular self-assembly in detail and demonstrated the binding behavior between the eight-core cube M8L12 subject and a series of guests. The report was simple but profound, which benefited people a lot. Finally, Prof. Michael D. Ward visited the laboratory of our research group and had a further discussion with the members in our group.
