Ratiometric Probes for Nitroreductase: Monitoring Reductive Stress in Mammalian Cells

2017-05-22

Invited by Professor Leyong Wang and Associate Professor Juli Qiang, Robert ElmesDepartment of Chemistry, Maynooth Universityvisited Nanjing on May. 22nd and gave an academic report on the same day.

At 10:00 am on May. 22nd (Monday), Robert Elmes gave a special report for graduate students entitled  Ratiometric Probes for Nitroreductase: Monitoring Reductive Stress in Mammalian Cells  in the meeting room G211 of Xianlin Chemistry Building. He reported the reductive stress played an important role in various disease and introduced the selectively and sensitivity of nitroreductase (NTR) acting as a fluorescent probe in detail. The report was simple but profound, which benefited people a lot.

Finally, Robert Elmes visited the laboratory of our research group and had a further discussion with the members in our group.
