Invited by Prof. Leyong Wang and Associate Professor Juli Jiang, Prof. Jochen Niemeyer (University of Duisburg-Essen, Universit Atsstrasse, Essen) visited Nanjing on May 25th. And he will give a lecture on May 27th.

He gave a presentation called Chiral Brønsted Acids: What Can be gained from multifunctional Systems for Chemosensing and Organocatalysis. The audience all feel benefited, at the end of the lecture, audience discussed many issues together.

Jochen Niemeyer received his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Munster in Germany and did postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. His research focus on organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry and DNA-BASED systems with applications in catalysis and chemical sensing. In Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Eur. J., Chem. Commun., J. Org. Chem.  And other journals he published many papers.
