On August 23rd, 2018, the research group held Dr. Cheng Ming's graduation defense meeting in G508 on Chemical Building of Xianlin campus. After careful preparation, Dr. Cheng Ming participated in the defense of doctoral thesis, and introduced the research background, research methods, main achievements, innovation highlights and other aspects of the thesis in detail through presentation.
The defense process was orderly, and the defense meeting was presided over by the defense chairman, Mr. Sun Xiaoqiang, and was conducted in the order of the applicant's introduction of the content of the paper, members' questions and the applicant's defense. Teachers of the defense committee carefully reviewed and strictly checked, they commented and asked questions one by one in combination with the paper statements and research practice, and then, Dr. Cheng Ming answered them one by one. In addition, the teachers pointed out the problems and shortcomings of the thesis pertinently, and put forward valuable guidance for the respondent's future research direction, so as to facilitate further research in this field in the future. Finally, after a closed-door discussion and a secret ballot vote, members of the Committee fully affirmed the quality of Cheng Ming's defense and the level of his thesis, and thought that his graduation thesis had met the requirements of doctoral degree. Through the defense, they agreed to confer Dr. Cheng Ming's degree. Congratulations to Dr. Cheng Ming!
