Jun-Jie Zhu, born in September, 1960 in Shanghai, China, works in Nanjing University as professor and mentor of Ph.D. students. At the same time, he is the associate editor of Analyst, the editorial member of Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Sensors and Chinese Materials Science Technology & Equipment. Professor Zhu won National Fund for Outstanding Young Scientists In 2003. He has published many works in Nat. Chem., Nat. Commun, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Mater.. Now his H-index is 89. He has won a series of awards, including Liang Shuquan Basic Research Award (2003), Second Prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award (2008), First Prize of Natural Science of Ministry of Education (2010), First Prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Award (2018). He is one of Scholars Highly cited in List of Elsevier Chinese scholars for five consecutive years (2014-2018), and Highly cited Scholars List of Clarivate in 2018. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, editor of Recent Patents on Materials Science, Analyst, Current Smart Materials, Deputy Editor of Analytical Science Journal, and Editorial Board of several domestic and foreign magazines, including Ultrasonic Sonochemistry.
Professor Zhu received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Nanjing University in 1984, and his Ph.D. degree from the same university in 1993. From 1998 to 1999, he did his post-doctoral research in Bar Ilan University, Israel. He was promoted to professor in 2001 and accepted tutor of Ph.D. students in 2002. Professor Zhu was also a short-term Visiting Research Collaborator in University of Houston, US, in 2002, and Case Western Reserve University, US, in 2005.
