Synthetic polymers have become an essential part of human life because of their wide range of applications. However, the development of modern engineering technology puts forward higher requirements for the properties of polymer materials. On the other hand, the wide use of synthetic polymers has caused serious environmental pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to these challenges through the rational design of chemical bonds. Coordination bonds are unique due to their variable structures, adjustable bond energies, dynamic reversibility and rich functions. The research of this research group focuses on the use of coordination bonds to modify traditional polymers or create new polymers, so as to meet the urgent needs of contemporary economic and social development for polymer materials in high-performance, multifunctional, green and intelligent aspects. The current research focuses on self-healing materials, variable stiffness materials, recyclable materials and so on.
