  南京大学物理系获学士、博士学位(81-91),化学系博士后(91-93)。历任副教授、教授、博导(99)。国家杰出青年基金获得者(05),教育部长江学者特聘教授(07),教育部创新团队带头人(08)。先后在德国卡斯卢厄研究中心、英国剑桥大学、美国麻省理工学院作博士后及华英学者。教育部介观化学重点实验室主任,中国真空学会常务理事,中国微米纳米技术学会理事,《J. Nanoelectron. Optoelectron.》、《化学学报》编委。曾获中国化学会青年化学奖、江苏省青年科学家奖等荣誉。长期在化学、物理、材料的交叉学科领域进行探索。

研究方向从物理化学及功能材料的角度,围绕碳基及Ⅲ族氮化物等纳米/介观结构新材料的生长机理、成分与结构调控、能源转化/储存功能及其调控机制开展工作。
